Bluetooth 5 on Thingy or SDK 15

Hi, 

I am trying to use Thingy 52 with Bluetooth 5. Is there any example on it?

I notice that in the documentation for SDK 15, it says that Thingy is supported but I couldn't find any example on Thingy.

Plus, if I choose to use SDK 15 on Thingy, how hard would it be to use all the sensors and led well. Because I couldn't find the definitions and drivers for the sensors and led well.

And also, which softdevice should I use, which version?

Hello,

SDK 15 is not supported. The Thingy 52 SDK is based on SDK v13 and is available for download here https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Kits/Nordic-Thingy-52/Download#infotabs.

 

And also, which softdevice should I use, which version?

Hi Hakon, is there any update on when will the BT5 support be added to the SDK? The BT5 support seems to be implied in Thingy's product description (i.e. built around the nRF52832 Bluetooth 5 SoC).

I quote this from the SDK 15 documentation.

- Added drivers for sensors on Thingy:52 (LPS22HB, BH1745, HTS221, CCS811, SX1509B, LIS2DH12).

Are you saying that the drivers for Thingy are added to the SDK but the device itself is not supported?

Yes, basically. SDK 15 supports the drivers for the sensor peripherals on the Thingy 52, but not the application.
