nRF9160 DK Board for programming external boards with the nRF9160

Hi, I am going to use the nRF91 DK to program an external PCB with the nRF9160 on it.  The DK documentation says that only 1.8V or 3.0V is supported for external debug/programming.  So if I'm running my entire PCB at 3.3V (including the GPIO), do I basically have to find a way to disconnect power to the VDD_GPIO pin on the nRF9160 and then hack in either 1.8V or 3.0V?

Thanks, Johnny

  • Actually, I may have prematurely closed this.  I have a follow-up question.  I soldered SB43 on the DK so I could power my external board from the Debug Output (P22).  However, when I attempt to program my external PCB, it seems to still be programming the nRF9160 on the development board.  Is there something else I need to do to point the debug out at my external PCB?
