nRF Mesh DFU without serial port

Hello,

I  was wondering if there was a way to use the NRF SDK for Mesh DFU example without a serial port. Currently I have 2 Nordic Thingy52s with no serial ports so I cannot complete the dfu_quick_start_guide. Is there a way to upload the dfu zip file from this example over bluetooth (like the regular thingy DFU) rather than using a serial port?

CONTEXT:

-Using Mesh SDK v2.2.0 on Nordic Thingy 52 boards

-Compilation of Mesh SDK works just fine.

-Have JLink available if needed

Hi Takunda,

Currently sending DFU update via BLE to a mesh node to spread to mesh network is not supported.

But it should be possible to modify the bootloader to support this. However, it would require considerable amount of work. I would suggest you to find a way to connect UART to PC to do the normal DFU.
