Zephyr HCI amount of concurrent central connections

Hi,

I am evaluating the use of nRF52832/52840 running ZephryOS HCI (Uart or USB) in combination with Bluez/Linux to as central device/gateway. If I were to use the Nordic Softdevice it would support 20 concurrent connections, but since ZephryOS does not use it I am wondering if somebody knows how many BLE Peripherals can be simultaneously connected to a Central running Zephry.

Does anyone know the exact number, I couldn't find it anywhere.

Understood. Since Nordic did the Qualification of the Zephyr BLE controller for nRF52, I thought someone here might know an answer...

Hello Josef. Have you found an answer to this very good question? I'm currently struggling with HCI_USB being able to only handle one connection and throwing "Memory capacity exceeded" in btmon... While some cheap generic BLE dongles with fraction of memory from nRF52840 don't complain up to 5 connections so I'm quite puzzled by that.
