nRF9160 DK Cannot send sensor data to nRFCloud

I followed nRF Connect SDK 0.3.99 to test nRF9160 LTE Sensor Gateway.

 

I successfully completed steps  1 thru 10 in the Testing section 

It was successfully connected to the nRFCloud as shown in the attached screenshot and the LED 4 was turned on to indicate that the connection is established as stated in the Testing section step 8.

However, I didn't see the GPS data and Thingy:52's orientations in the nRF Cloud as described in the Testing section steps 11 to 13.

Please advise.  Thanks.

Hi,

The nRF9160: LTE Sensor Gateway tutorial is lacking some instructions.

GPS data and Thingy:52's orientations in the nRF Cloud as described in the Testing section steps 11 to 13.

Setting switch 2 to the right (towards the antenna) will allow for the board to send GPS coordinates. Setting switch 2 to the left (away from the antenna) will prevent the board from sending GPS coordinates. See this tutorial.

The application will send orientation and GPS data when the Thingy:52 is in position 3.
