Build fails for nRF9160 sample code

I have this problem with all the samples for the nRF9160.  When I build the zephyr.elf file, I get an error saying it failed.  Please see the picture below.  Any idea what's going on?  It happens with all samples.  For the picture below, I was trying to build the at_client sample.

Also FYI, I'm using Segger Embedded Studio, latest version provided by Nordic.

Hello, are you using the master branch? If you are, then building on SES will not work and you will either need to change to v0.3.0 or use command line tools to build instead.

Hi Hakon,

I have checked out the branches as described in the Getting Started Assistant in the nRF Connect app.  I have checkout the following:

zephyr - v1.13.99-ncs2

mcuboot - v1.2.99-ncs2

nrf - v0.3.0

nrfxlib - v0.3.0

I've tried reinstalling everything on a new computer and I still have the same issue.

You can try installing the 7 2018-q2-update release of gcc-arm found here.

This appears to have solved the problem.  I was using a newer version, the 8 2018-q4-major release.  Going to the older version, now the build error goes away.
