nrf51 Gazell protocol timing

Hello,

once synchronized, what is the minimum time for exchanging acknowledged packet.

according to datasheet :

Timeslot periods

The Gazell Link Layer supports the following minimum timeslot periods.

• 600us timeslot period, nRF51 Gazell Device to nRF51 Gazell Host.
• 504us timeslot period, nRF51 Gazell Device to nRF24Lxx Gazell Host.

When using 504 us timeslot period, the following restrictions apply:

• Max payload size is 17 bytes
• Max ack payload size is 10 bytes

But time slot isn't equivalent to send and acknoledge timing ? isn't it

Minimum 600 us for sending a packet and getting the ACK for it. But it's not possible to update the content of the ACK between you receive the original package and before you send the ACK. So if you need to respond to something in a package received, this won't get back to the device until the next ACK.

The duration of the timeslots needs to be longer than it takes to send a package and receive the ACK. The duration depends on the on-air data rate used and packet length.
