Problem with BLE connection on Samsung S9 using SoftDevice S132 2.0

Hi, I'm currently using SD S132v2.0 for one of our legacy product. Recently, we are detecting some problem with the connection using Samsung S9 (on ours customer phones as well as our tester phones). Samsung S9 phones are unable to connect to our device despite the fact that we have tried to tweak the connection parameters. Upgrading to newer SD (ie. SD S132 v6.0) fixed the problem. Is there any solution for the current SoftDevice (SD S132 v2.0) to be working with the Samsung S9 ? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

Could you provide me with more details on what kind of issues you are running into? Do you get any error codes?

You aren't able to connect at all or do you disconnect after a connection? Are there any logs that I can look at? Does this only occur with S9?

  • Hi Mttrinh, the phone couldn't connect at all to the device using our mobile application. After switching to NRF Connect mobile app, the phone couldn't connect to the device.

Since it is a legacy product so it will take a bit of time to setup the equipment to get any log data out. I can try to provide you with NRF Connect log data maybe tomorrow. Also i will try to get the team to produce a sniffer trace if possible.

It occurs with S9 and some others phone from different brands (including Nokia 6.1, Xiaomi, etc)

    Thank in advance
