IEEE classification on a Proprietary RF protocol based on ESB (Enhanced Shockburst)

One of our resellers is requesting a classification code for the RF protocol.
We use a Proprietary RF protocol based on ESB (Enhanced Shockburst).
Is there an IEEE or a different classification that we could place on that communication protocol so we can specify which compliance's the protocol has.

  • I can't think of any specific classification code for ESB. ESB itself doesn't to much. It can only use one frequency, any change in channel has to be taken care of by FW. It can handle auto ACK if this is wanted, but that's just about it. Depending on the FW, ESB as a protocol may behave in different ways.

IEEE 802.xx usually specifies much more complex protocols, like Bluetooth, WLAN, Zigbee etc.
