JLinkExe: cannot connect to target

Custom board built around the nrf52832-CIAA.

Drawing 4.7mA.

VDD: 3V

DEC1: 1.1V

DEC2: 1.2V

DEC3: 3V

DEC4: 1.2V

Reset pin floating/NC.

J-Link commander (6.44a) cannot connect to target. I've used the same j-link for multiple other boards, so I know it is working. VTref is 2.99V.

I've followed the reference design as much as possible - but I don't think the issue is there. I've tried 3 different ICs & 2 pcbs. Reflowed many times. Verified SWDCLK activity on a scope.

I think I've read everything here, please let me know if I'm missing something! Thanks.

Most footprints are 0402 instead of 0201.

I'm not really sure what's wrong here. Schematic and layout look fine. The DEC voltages are fine. The current consumption corresponds to a chip with empty flash (hard fault), which is fine.

Have you tried nrfjprog --recover? nrfjprog is part of the command line tools found here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Tools/nRF5-Command-Line-Tools

Yes of course, but nrfjprog uses J-Link.

So no go there as well.

Looking at your schematic one more time, it seems like you have switched SWDCLK and SWDIO.
