Is there a guide anywhere on how to set PWM and GPIO on the nRF52832 using SEGGER IDE? And is it possible to make a profile controlling PWM for nRF Connect?

Hello there,

I have a decent amount of experience using arduino IDE and the arduino micro-controllers to generate PWM signals, but wanted to create an BLE app using the nRF52832 for remote PWM control from my phone via nRF Connect. After reading some introductory documentation from the Nordic documentation and choosing to use SEGGER as my IDE, I am having a hard time even finding out how to create a basic PWM code. Any help or direction to guides would be appreciated as this is my first time with a Noridc system and BLE, and first time with a non-arduino system.

Hi,

First thing I would recommend is to go through our BLE tutorials to get an overview on how to setup a custom service and use the Softdevice. Next I would suggest that you take a look at the API documentation for the PWM on Doclib and the PWM example in the SDK. Lastly, I've included a project that initialize a custom service which updates the duty cycle on the PWM (LED4) on a write. The project uses SDK 15.0. It should be a great starting point.
