v15.3: Secure DFU over BLE transport hangs at call to `sd_softdevice_disable`

I just finished upgrading the SDK version from v14.2 to v15.3, one thing I'm having trouble with is that after secure buttonless DFU finishes the call to `sd_softdevice_disable` seems to hang the device, so that the firmware update never completes (device never resets to enter bootloader). This had worked fine on v14.2 of the SDK.

I am wondering if you could provide me any clues about why the call to `sd_softdevice_disable` function can hang.

Where exactly is it hanging ?

Is it stuck in line 260 in nrf_sdh.c, function nrf_sdh_disable_request() ?

If you place a breakpoint at 260, do you get to line 260?

If you remove 260 breakpoint, and set a breakpoint at line 261, do you get to line 261 ?

Sorry I didn't give more information before but yes it hangs on line 260. I even tried removing the critical section but nothing changed.

I'm hoping you can give me more insight into something the Soft Device might be waiting for (e.g. a hardware event).
