Idle support

Hi,

I've added WFE\WFI to my application running on nRF52840 on my RTOS Idle Hook. 

Runs fine when debugger is attached , but when debugger not attached - the application miss behaves. 

The RTOS uses systick ( 1ms ) for it's operation.

Is there any known issues with systick and WFI\WFE working together ? 

Is there any example for RTOS implemented Idle on nrf52840 ?

Hi,

Is this FreeRTOS? If yes, I would recommend checking out the FreeRTOS examples in the SDK. E.g. the Heart Rate Application with FreeRTOS.

Our FreeRTOS port use RTC1 for as a tick source. It is possible to configure FreeRTOS to use SysTick instead of RTC1, but that is not recommended for several reasons (bad resolution, systick-timer will not run when CPU is not running(i.e. sleeping) etc.).

Thanks . Now I understand the systick is not a good choice for clock source , since WFI can not be used. 

I will take a look at the FreeRTOS . What is Tick Freq. for the RTOS ?

The FreeRTOS port is running on LFCLK with 1024 ticks per second.Which translates to each tick being 0.976ms (slightly less than a milli second)
