Thread topology monitor does not work on Ubuntu 18.

I set the Thread network with 2 Dev Kits. I tested it using CLI directly. The network works.

But I can't observe topology on the monitor tool.

Reproduce path:

1. Follow the steps from here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/DocLib/Content/SDK_Doc/Thread_SDK/v2-0-0/thread_topology_monitor
2. Click "Start Scan" on the Topology monitor.
3. Check the state by running "state" command in Thread CLI.

After this steps the state is changed to "disabled" and the monitor says that "Error - No response from Thread CLI device.".

I run Ubuntu 18.10.

Hi,

Please make sure that you check the "Perform factory reset" checkbox in the application:

I initially got the same error with similar setup to you, but checking this box fixed the issue.

Have you tried erasing the CLI example from the board and flashing it again?

Yes. I've done it. Still not working. The 'Error - No response from Thread CLI device.' is showing every 30s (timeout).

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. Have you tested with a different PC? Which version of the Thread Topology Monitor are you using, and from which SDK version did you flash the CLI example? You are using the UART version of CLI firmware? Did you use the precompiled hex-file?

Which version of the DK do you have?
