BLE 5.0 fully complaint features in Nordic Chips

Hello,

 

Recently I started working on BLE. I need details with respect to BLE 5.0.

Below are the features of BLE 5.0

 

1. 2x Range (With 2Mbps PHY)
2. 4x Speed (With Coded PHY : With Coding Schemes = 2 & 8)
3. 8x Broadcasting by increasing Advertisement packet length
   1. Extended Advertisement by transmitting advertisement packets even in Data channels (0 - 36)
4. Improved Coexistence.
5. Mesh Capabilities.

 

My Queries are:

1.  Whether all above features are supported in Nordic chip. If yes please let me know the chip.
2. How about nRF52832.
3. With BLE 5.0, whether can I achieve both 2x Range and 4x Speed at a time. To my understanding, by decreasing Data rate, Range can be increased. So both cannot be simultaneous. Please correct if I am wrong.

It's the other way around: 2Mbps PHY gives you more speed, coded PHY gives you better range.

Only the nRF52840 supports the coded PHY option

Also, the coding schemes yield 125Kbps or 500Kbps effective transfer rate.

So you can select either 2Mbps phy or coded PHY, but not both at once.
