Using External antenna on nrf9160

Hi, 

I currently developing my own NRF9160 board Based on NRF9160 DK schematics. My question is, can we remove all passive antenna circuit with all matching network and just using External antenna connected to both GPS(after LNA circuit for sure) and LTE ?

Hi,

 

If you find an external antenna that has two inputs (1 for GPS and 1 for LTE) then yes. If using a single-input antenna you would need to add a RF switch between the antenna and LTE/GPS pin and control it using MAGPIO.
