make:nrfjprog:Command not found error

Hi all,

I have tried to flash the blinky programm to the BMD 300 AR evaluation board by nRF command line tools but I can't flash the .hex file to my evaluation board. The steps I have done and my system specifications are given below<

Ubuntu 16.04  64 bit

BMD 300 EVAL

Steps done

Installed the GNU ARM toolchain 

downloaded the nRF5_SDK_15.0.0 and extracted to home directory

Installed the J-LINK(screenshot attached)

Downloaded the nRF-command line tools and extracted to home/Embedded directory and added the path to .bash_profile for getting access from anywhere.

The examples can be build successfully and cannot flash the device.

can anybody tell what should be the problem.

Hi,

Have you tried to run "nrfjprog" to see if the path is added correctly? Also, do you see the path to nrfjprog if you run echo $PATH.

While trying this with the nrfjprog --version its prompts "nrfjprog: command not found"

I think the path may be wrong. Maybe you can try to make a symbolic link instead

$ sudo ln -s <absolute path to nrfjprog>  /usr/local/bin/nrfjprog

Hi,

I didn't that point well, I copied the nrfjprog to the /usr/local/bin and then tried to flash, now i am getting another message that "nrfjprog.ini not found".

Can you tell me how can I install the nrfjprog in a properway.

Hi,

the nrfjprog executable must be located in the same directory as nrfjprog.ini and the other files included in the download. You can create a symlink as I suggested in my previous reply.
