I want to make a bluetooth mesh system with over 400 bluetooth devices. As I know the Nrf52840 Dongle can connect to 20 devices concurrently, so if I use 20 Nrf52840 Dongles and mesh them to each other and then connect each dongle to 20 bluetooth devices, I can make a system with 400 devices connected to each other. But of course I would need to power those 20 dongles. Does the Ntf52840 Dongle need to be connected to any other board or will it work if I just plug it into a usb charger? I mean will the mesh work normally if I just power those 20 dongles with simple chargers?
I have 400 bluetooth enabled parking gates and want to make a platform from which one can control all the parking lots. Which devices would be a better solution for my problem: Nrf52840 DK or Nrf52840 Dongle?
