Jlink Drive not appearing

I just purchased this unit and followed the setup instructions. I did not perform any flashing.  When I plug the usb into the computer the jlink drive doesn't show up in Windows 10.  Only the LED lights pulse slowly.  I followed all the tips at the link below but nothing is making the Jlink drive appear in windows.  Should I send it back to the place I ordered it from and ask for a replacement?  Thanks

  • Hello,
I assume you have purchased a new unit? No one has been tampering with it before you? From the link you provide, what did you try? I need more information regarding your issue.

    • Have you installed the software from here?
    • Have you tried to run
      nrfjprog -i
    • Does it appear in Device Manager?
    • Please ensure that the USB cable is not faulty.

    Thanks

    Kind regards,
    Øyvind

  • Thanks. Sorry for the delay, was out of the office a couple days.

Yes, this is a new unit.

-Yes, I have SDK, command line tools, and segger installed

-yes, the command works but nothing is listed

    -No

-I tried two different cables (1m and 10cm cables).  I tried on two different computers as well. VDD measures 3V with a DMM from what I can tell.

The LED still just slowly pulses.

Other things I checked from the link I provided:

-Double checked hardware settings:  SW9: VDD Mode, SW6: Default

-Tried BOOTLOADER mode (holding down reset button and cycling power)

    -Tried nrfjprog -f nrf52 -e
