nRF9160 dk Network do come but status is forbidden

Hello all,

I updated modem firmware mfw_nrf9160_0.7.0-15.alpha.zip. I have iBASIS SIM card in modem and started with at_client example and country also has nb-iot support.

I run command in following pattern for nb-iot.

at+cfun=4

at%xsystemmode=0,1,0,0

at+cfun=1

at+cfun?

Now, network shows but signal strength is not there also status is forbidden.

How can I register on network?

I am sorry that you have issues getting connected to a network.

What do you mean by "Status is forbidden" and "network shows, but signal strength is not there"?

I would really appreciate if you could share the log from the LTE Link Monitor during these testing:

• Are you using a Vodafone SIM card when you are trying to connect to the Vodafone network?
  
  

I do not think the iBasis SIM has support in Ireland looking at their network coverage page: http://iot.ibasis.com/network-coverage/

I am using iBASIS SIM card. Thanks to you for showing me this,

I was thinking that iBASIS is global SIM so it can connect with existing infrastructure in roaming mode. Here is a snap of my system's LTE Link Monitor with iBASIS SIM card in it

 

So if i buy Vodafone's card then is it possible connect with NB-IoT network?

Hi Nikunj,

Yes, when using the Vodafone's  SIM card you should get access to the Vodafone NB-IoT network in Ireland.

Please give me an update if you have any issues using the new SIM card.

Thanks for help.

After getting Vodafone's SIM card from market it is easy to me to connect with network. I also get

:CEREG  =  5

Now I flashed assets_tracker into board it shows an error:

NRF_Cloud_connect failed : -111

How am I suppose to connect with cloud?
