Mesh DFU from embedded LINUX

Hi 

We update our mesh nodes using nrfutil:

nrfutil --verbose dfu serial -pkg client.zip -p COM%Comport% -b 115200 -i 700 -fc --mesh

The package including python is quite large.

Is there another possibility to do this on a embedded LINUX platform?

Unfortunately, this is the only tool we currently support to do Mesh DFU. I will however ask internally about this & get back to you.

Maybe it's possible to compile this with the options we need for DFU only to get it smaller?

Do you want to decrease the size of the package being sent over the DFU or do you want to have a smaller version of the toolchain needed to generate the DFU package & do the mesh DFU?

We could generate the package on another platform, but we would like to have a smaller toolchain on our embedded platform to send the package over UART (mesh DFU)
