a mesh of beacons

Hi,

our installed base of sensors transmit their data in periodic BLE 4.0 beacons. I would like to develop a relay board that receives these beacons, and then retransmits them over a Bluetooth mesh network towards a gateway.

However, the SDK mentions that "Bluetooth Mesh is incompatible with the Bluetooth low energy host layer". Does this mean that a mesh device cannot receive BLE4 beacons?

Hi,

That is correct, a mesh device cannot receive packet from a "regular" BLE beacon. I suggest you read more about the Mesh concept and Architecture here:
