Difference between Cetral NUS and Peripheral NUS service

Hi

What is the difference between ble_nus.c and ble_nus_c.c?

because i went through both the files and i felt both files are almost same except an extra function(db_discovery handler) added in ble_nus_c.c

i have used ble_nus in my application where device should act as central. i am able scan and connect properly. is there anything wrong in doing this?

It's just one Service - Central implements the BLE Central end of the link, and Peripheral implements the BLE Peripheral end of the link.

You do understand the difference between a Central and a Peripheral in general BLE terms?

yes i do.

central acts like host or master and Peripheral acts as server.

What elaboration do you need?

Clearly, the functionality required at the Central end is different from the functionality at the Peripheral end.

So that is the difference between the two examples.

can i use ble_nus.c in my central application to provide NUS service?

You will need to understand it, and then work out how to integrate it into your application.

Or start from the NUS Central example, and add your functionality to it...
