How enable real GPS data transmit with nrf9160 DK?

Hi, How can I configure so that I can transmit real GPS data of the device and watch it from nrfcloud? I think I need to change something in config files? Simulated GPS data is working just fine.

Hi Noobie, The Modem firmware that is available now does not support GPS +LTE-M/NB-IoT concurrently. You need to switch the modem to offline mode (with for example AT+CFUN=4 ) and then select the other…

Hi Will,

There is a Pull Request that implements the use of real GPS data for the asset_tracker sample.

Note that you need the latest modem firmware.
It can get GPS data while the device is in PSM mode.

When testing GPS I would recommend using an external antenna as described here for best performance.

If you have the v0.8.5 or newer of the DK you can use the on-board GPS antenna.
