Disabling radio for power measurements

Does anybody know a quick and easy way to disable the radio functions in a soft-device application?

I want to measure and optimise the power consumption of all the other peripheral activity, but the dynamic range when the radio fires (spikes of 8-10mA) makes it very hard to measure accurately in the 0-100uA range.

Hi,

It's not possible to control the radio directly while the softdevice is enabled. The option would be to disable the softdevice completely.

I was hoping there was an easy configuration, like "advertising interval = 0" or something, that would keep the radio quiet while leaving everything else alone.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. It's not possible to directly control the radio without using the softdevice when its enabled. I think the easiest would be to not start the advertising in the first place. You can do this by removing/commenting out the sd_ble_gap_adv_start().
