Hi,
I am a newbie to BLE 5 and I need some consulting regarding a system configuration.
The system is as such:
first unit (board #1) is an electronic lock that is installed on the interior side of a door. it is powered by a ~2000mAh rechargeable battery, therefore power consumption should be as small as possible.
second unit (board #2) is a keypad unit which is installed on the exterior side of the door (keypad does not need to communicate with a cellphone). It is powered by a coin battery, so power consumption with this unit has to be very very small.
A full duplex communication should be held between board #2 and board #1 at all time (or most of it).
Board #1 has settings, so it also needs to be able to communicate with smartphone that can configure its settings.
What would be the best GATT/GAP roles for this type of configuration?
Regards,
Gil
