ble_app_uart example for nRF51 Dongle (pca10031)

Hello,

We are designing a board based on nRF51422 and we are working with a company based in a different country for Android/iOS app development. They bought a nRF51 Dongle and while trying remotely to upload a ble_app_uart example on the dongle (so they can test the app) I got an error about the application being written over the softdevice (I used s130_nrf51_2.0.0_softdevice.hex and ble_app_uart_c_s130_pca10031.hex).

I don't even remember where exactly I got the application and softdevice hexes from, but it was from a link in one of the topics in this section.

I remember running a ble_app_uart example on a pca10031 dev board with no issues about three years ago, but now it seems that the NRF5 SDK no longer includes pca10031 files and most of the links here are dead. Can someone please send me a valid ble_app_uart application hex and corresponding softdevice for a pca10031 dev board?

The S130 SoftDevice .hex file you need is downloadable in the SDK version 12.3 and can be found in this path: ...\components\softdevice\s130\hex

NOTE: nRFgo Studio is outdated at this point, and I recommend that you rather use nRFConnect for Desktop, and its Programmer app.
