BLE_ADVERTISING_ENABLED macro in ble_app_blinky example code

I am using nRF52832, SDK_15.3.0, S132 SoftDevice and Segger for flash the image. I am using ‘ble_app_blinky’.

 

In sdk_config.h, BLE_ADVERTISING_ENABLED is not enabled, but still ble_app_blinky will start advertisement. Then what is the purpose of this macro and when we need to enable this macro. I am seeing this macro being enabled in ble_app_template.

Hi, 

BLE_ADVERTISING_ENABLED enables Advertising Module (one of the BLE libraries) for handling connectable BLE advertising. You can take a look at there are different configurations in main.c/advertising_init(void).
