PPK faulty reading

Hi all, we has experienced two PPK boards start to give faulty reading after several uses. I attached two screenshots about current reading with same setting on the DEV board and also the target DUT board. It appears to be hardware failure on the PPK board. This problem occurred during the current measurement, PPK was outputting reasonable outputs, all of sudden, PPK failed connection. Once we reconnect PPK board, board start to output faulty reading like screenshot attached below.

PPK settings are DUT -- External, Power select -- Reg.

Have anybody experienced this kind of issues before? Just try to figure out what's the cause of this problem.

Hi,

The maximum current that can be drawn by the DUT from the PPK is limited to 70mA. What kind of device is the DUT?

DUT is a coin battery operated BLE device, it should not reach and over the current limit.

Hi,

Are you using the coin battery while measuring the current consumption? It shouldn't be used if you're using the on-board regulator as a power source.

Could you describe your setup?

My set up is PPK plug into DK(with jumper cut), power and debug through DK via micro USB cable.PPK DUT switch is External, PPK power select is on Reg. We power our DUT device via Enternal DUT header.

Hi,

Could you try powering the DK and the DUT via an external power source and see if the issue persists.
