Error Programming the softdevice

Hi,

I'm using the nRF52-PCA10040 board and I was trying to program the softdevice using the instructions for the ARM Keil method in this (infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp page. However, I get an error each time that says Error: Flash Download failed  -  "Cortex-M4" because the erase failed. On the other hand, if I just do an erase, it works completely fine. I am baffled. I would like some help with this.

Which SDK are you using? Did you click on compile? Could you show me a screenshot?

Keil uVision 5. I did compile.

Which SDK are you using?

If you clicked compile while having selected the SoftDevice you probabily wrote over that hex file.

The SoftDevice is a precompiled hex files that comes with the SDK, it should never be recompiled.

If you wrote over it you have to download the SDK again and replace the broken SoftDevice hex file in your SDK with the new one you downloaded.
