BLE Switching between beacon and UART

Hi ,I'm using nRF52832 Bluetooth DK and (SDK15.3.0) , I am trying to switch between beacon mode and uart mode without the need to reset button ,
e.g with reset button from p0.21:I tried changing the mode if reset source from button reset p0.21 then go to the uart , if reset from soft reset go to beacon how i do that from a simple button in other gpio ?

Hi

You need to stop advertisements by calling sd_ble_gap_adv_stop,  change the advertisement data with sd_ble_gap_adv_data_set, and finally restart advertisements with sd_ble_gap_adv_start. See the ble_app_beacon example for how to set up the advertisement data to the non-connectable mode and for example the ble_app_uart example to set up connectable mode.

You might want to take a look at this thread - and the linked threads - about switching between Connectable & Non-connectable advertising:

Note that most of the SDK 15.3.0 examples use the Advertising Module - and this does not support Non-connectable advertising:

So, as Simonr says, you have to do it "manually" with the SoftDevice sd_... calls.
