nRF52832 Custom PCB design as a commercial product

Hi,

We're going to develop smart home system with mesh connectivity. So we decide to develop nrf52832 custom module which can plug to several home appliances. 

Currently we have developed first set of PCBs they works fine.

1. If we're going as a commercial product what are the certificates do we need to obtain ? And how to obtain them

2. What are PCB specification we need to match for certifications

3. Is there any antenna spec we need to match for certification

4. Is there a way to evaluate our design by nordic before go for certifications

Product certification depends on the market region and sector into which you wish to release it e.g. USA, Europe, Japan, India, Australia etc all require different certification standards for appliances and wireless devices, also differences may exist between a smoke alarm, a room thermostat or oven controller.

If you are to use Bluetooth, ZigBee or any of the specified wireless standards then you will need to seek registration and certification to the standards required for those governing bodies.

Nordic provides a template layout for but if you don't have space then you may decide to use a chip antenna.

I would respectfully suggest that this topic is beyond the scope of this forum.

In addition to this answer I would like to add that Nordic Semiconductor provide evaluations of schematic and layout and can also tune the matching network after the design has been reviewed. If you want your design reviewed, then make a new private ticket where you upload the schematic and layout files.
