Does nRF52840 support ZigBee Smart Energy 1.x protocol?

Hi team,

Please help to check if nRF52840 is qualified for ZigBee Smart Energy 1.x protocol, according to customer, seems ZigBee 3.0 is not supporting that yet.

No, we do not have support for Zigbee Smart Energy 1.x protocol in current SDK.

After 2years, I have the same question- Is SEP supported in the nordic SDK? I have a HA profile with Metering cluster working using the Nodric sdk. But when I change the HA profile to SEP profile, the DSR apis stop working. Can you help me how to enable use Smart energy profile with metering cluster?

Hi,

Zigbee Smart energy is not supported in our SDK. See the release notes for nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee v4.1.0:

Note that not all mandatory requirements which refer to Smart Energy Standard (reference R2 D.8.1) are implemented as nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee does not support the Smart Energy Standard.

Nordic SDK is integrating the DSR stack and I see DSR supports Smart Energy 1.4.
