PyACI devkey_handle & address_handle related questions

Hello,

I am currently writing a script whose purpose is to automatically provision and configure devices.

My question is related to the devkey_handle and address_handle, I would like to know if there is some built-in utility method within PyACI that allows me to retrieve a device's devkey_handle and address_handle?

I've also noticed that the handles seem to be persistent, is this correct?

Hi Waffaru. 

I don't believe that we store the handles in the database file. 

When provisioning a node, the handles can be found in the log. You would need to automatically store the handles from the log output.

Heya,

Thanks for the reply. I have a followup question regarding this:

Once a device is provisioned does the handles assigned to it persist? What I mean is that if said devices get turned off or the provisioner device gets turned off, are the handles reassigned to new values once our device database is reloaded?
