config file independen from the application

Hi!

We are in the process of evaluating the nRF9160 DK.

There is an important aspect of the application for us, we want to be able to define some constants that can be modified from the final client without the need of compiling a new application every time they modify a value. In the applications that we develop we usualy have a file were we define some constants and that file is read from the application and gets the values to run base on the clients especific configuration.

I have been searching through the devzone looking for anyone with the same scenario but with no luck. 

We would really appreciate your help since it is a very important part of our application and we don't know how to do it.

you can use an nfc tag.  The tag is updated from outside.  The firmware can then read the new value from the tag.  There are many i2c nfc tag eprom available with very small footprint.
