As Andrew says, the Raspberry Pi3 doesn't support BLE 5. But if you want BLE 5 USB Dongles based on the nRF52840 anyway, check out Fanstel, Raytac, and/or our own nRF52840 Dongle. Please note that our Dongle is not optimized for range, and is to be considered a development tool. I assume both Fanstel and Raytac probably have better optimized solutions for an actual product, although the Nordic Dongle will be easier to develop on.
