function net_pton - compiling issue on MacOS

Hi,

I am currently facing a coming issue by using the function net_pton. Under MacOS I get the following error:

1> app/libapp.a(main.c.obj): In function `inet_pton':
1> /Users/holger/Nordic/SDK_Source/ncs/zephyr/include/net/socket.h:667: undefined reference to `net_addr_pton'
1> collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Build failed

Compiling the exact same code version on a windows machine everything is working well without showing this issue.

Any idea why this happens on the Mac?

Compiling on MacOS should should work fine. Can you provide the code or any other information about the problem to make it easier to help you?

I have the same issue. It's the linker step that fails, not the compilation. Compiling and linking identical code on the Zephyr master branch works just fine. It's the app linking step that fails for me. Using net_addr_pton directly yields the same result.

A temporary fix is to add 
  zephyr_library_sources(ip/utils.c)

under CONFIG_NET_RAW_MODE

to zephyr/subsys/net/CMakeLists.txt
