How to determine nRF8001 revision?

I have an nRF D 8001 1122AC chip and I am reading the Product Specification 1.2.

Is it the proper revision for the chip?

  • The nRF8001 D version of the chip corresponds to version 1.2 of the specification. You will also need to look at the PAN (Product Anomaly Notices) and PCN (Product change Notifications ) for the nRF8001 to see which exact revision you are using.

The PAN and PCN documents are located here.

The ACI command GetDeviceVersion will give additional information on the specific IC. See the command details in the nRF8001 datasheet section 24.

The Date code on your IC is 1122 for a D revision and it is not the latest version, though the data sheet specification version 1.2 is correct. See the document PCN-067 for more details.
