the auto-update fails for version 2.7.0 of 'nRF Connect for Desktop’

FYI, 

the auto-update fails for version 2.7.0 of 'nRF Connect for Desktop’ with the attached error dialog.

I had to manually download it again from the link below, and that wiped all my prior settings etc…

I think Nordic havn't properly code-signed their Mac OS X install bundle, as I also had to allow the ‘insecure’ application install from the Mac’s :Security & Privacy” Settings Panel as well.

It seems that this error is only related to Mac. It works fine to just download v2.7.0, correct? I just tested again to try to upgrade from v2.6.0 to v2.7.0, but I was not reminded to upgrade. The workaround now is just to manually install nRF Connect for Desktop from the url which you linked to. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There is a new update of nRF Connect for Desktop now, which I would recommend upgrading to. You'll need to download it via the nordic webpage.
