Trouble configuring nRF52840 dongles as long range peripherals

Hi, I've been trying to use the nRF52840 Dongle to act as Bluetooth 5.0 peripherals but I cant seem to configure them for Long Range (coded PHY) detection. I am currently using the nRF Connect Desktop to start the advertising of the dongle and the nRF Connect mobile app to detect it, but the option to set the initial preferred PHY to Coded (Long range), is unavailable. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Jrstew, 

Currently 2Mbps and Long range (Coded PHY) is not supported by nRFConnect Desktop. 

However it's supported by pc-ble-driver. So if you want to write your own software to have different PHYs you can use pc-ble-driver.

Are there plans to support it in nRFConnect Desktop and/or nRFConnect Android ? This could be really helpfull.

No, not until Coded PHY is support by the hardware on the phones.
