Right documentation to start understanding the Nordic Thingy FW

Where can I find the right documentation to start understanding the Nordic Thingy FW? Do we have any design document for this?

I need to develop my own application on the Nordic Thingy 52 and also need to interface heart rate sensor like MAX10305.

Development would probably be easier on an nRF52832 DK - not least because that gives you a J-Link debugger.

I have started looking into these links. 

I do have the SEGGER J-Link programmer / debugger which I hope will help me with debugging too.
