The Interface MCU Firmware link provided on the nRF52840-DK page is the same as the firmware for the nRF52-DK. Unfortunately, these boards use different nRF MCUs. Loading this firmware onto the nRF52840-DK misidentifies is as the nRF52-DK. The MBED Studio uses this ID to select the board configuration for building and debugging. Unsurprisingly, software built for a nRF52832_xxaa doesn't work on a nRF52840, and results in hard faults. Is there a plan to release mbed-compatible Interface MCU Firmware for the nRF52840-DK? Is it as simple as changing the board ID from 1101 to 1102?
