Bluetooth Mesh Thingy52 not working

Hi there,

So I am trying to get a basic mesh setup between multiple Nordic Thingy 52's and no matter what I have tried i keep failing,

I have gone through the forums and tried multiple methods using the below programs and Apps.

  • nRF Connect (Desktop and mobile)
  • Segger Embedded Studio
  • nRFgo Studio
  • nRF52 DK
  • mesh_sdk
  • thingy52 mesh provisioning demo master
  • nRF Mesh (mobile app)

I have a nRF52840 Dongle being used to connect to the Thingy52 or connecting by a bluetooth 5.0 connection via mobile phone,

so far, every method i have tried has failed,

the Thingy52's flash blue and i have individual control over each unit, but no way to group multiple units together or create the mesh.

nRF Mesh cant find the devices ever, even when they are connected via  power source, nRF connect can access the units and control them individually.

Please may someone reply with a step by step that actually works, surely there is an easier way to group 2 bluetooth devices to flash a blinking LED than the nightmare of commands and cables i have seen in some of the threads.

Thank you for your assistance.

  • so using the pre compiled .hex files and the connection via the debug ports, i was able to set up 5 Raspberry pi's to link to the one which was set as the bridge, but I am unable to see the bridge on nRF Mesh, and once i connect to it via "nRF Connect" it disables all the macros and i am unable to alter any of the nodes, is there a way of fixing this on the bridge unit?, if i press the button on the bridge all the nodes toggle a white light.
