nRF51422 Throughput Example

Hi! So I'm trying to use the throughput example with the nRF51422 board.  infocenter.nordicsemi.com says that the SDK 12.3.0 throughput example will work with S130, which will work on the nRF51422. However, I'm only finding files that work with S132, which don't work on the nRF51422.

Hi,

If you are interested in high throughput you should use the nRF52832 (S132 v6.1.1 and SDKv15.3 is latest), which support long packets and higher datarate.

So what we actually want to do is we want to compare the throughput between something using BlueTooth 4 and something using BlueTooth 5. We have the nRF52840 that works with the throughput but want to have something to compare it to.

So I had an idea that we could get the hex file for the application (take the common between that and the softdevice) and use nRFgo Studio we could program it with s130 Softdevice and the app for the 132. Would that work? I was playing around with it and found that when you just cut and paste it doesn't work out too well, nRFgo doesn't let you because the data overlaps. But is it worth trying? If it wouldn't work then there's no point in continuing down that path.

Sorry, that won't work.

You will need to re-compile the project with the correct ram and flash usage, the S130 header files, and correct chip. You may look at example projects that support both S130 and S132 on how to do this.
