When I click on the Nordic Semiconductor NRF52840 product specification the page says that it can not be found.

How should I alternatively get more detailed information on the product?

Where did you even get that link from? 

Go to the infocenter https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com, open the "nRF52 Series" section, open the "nRF52840" section and then click on the Product Specification which is the first link.
