Thingy:52-SDK-zip Keil project linker directory

Dear Nordic,

I try to compile the Keil project inside the thingysdkv210.zip file but it does NOT work.

I use Keil uVision V5.24.2.0 on Windosw 8.1.

There are so many linker directory error, I use to change the directory name and position according to the linker directory (consistency problem).

At the end developer has to download the library "Embedded MotionDriver 6.12" from TDK ...

A firmware project must include everything needed to get the same final HEX file (traceability problem).

Consistency, traceability -> SW quality

P.S. Do you ever use a static software analyzer on your code ?

What errors, exactly ?

When you get huge numbers of errors it's usually because of just 1 problem (or a few problems) which then messes everything else up...

Hello awneil,

as you can see compiler include path uses sdk_component directory but in the original project the directory is not present.

You have to relocate and rename the  /external/sdk13/components directory (and also other directory) so you can use the include original Keil project (file.uvporjx)

At the end the compiler makes the HEX file.

Sorry, it was the "include path" directory ...

Did you run the setup_sdk batch file first ?

It creates the sdk_components folder at desired location in project folder structure.

I am using the Segger Embedded Studio instead of Keil since I do not have license to build source on Keil.

Yes Kartik, only following slavishly the readme file (using also the batch file) you can reach the goal.

It's a strange way to develop and distribute FW, if you use a versioning system you have to commit the real directory and file (every file: also *.lib) so you have a unique place to store the project.
