Bluetooth Production Testing with nRF52DK

Hello,

we would like to use a nRF52DK for a simple bluetooth production testing as mentioned in AN34. If we are using an external 50R antenna on J1 do we need to cut the PCB antenne trace? So we could deactivate the on board antenna? Or do we need to do the antenna matching again?

There is an mechanical switch integrated into J1 which disconnects the PCB antenna...

Hi,

Yes. When connecting to J1 it will disconnect from the on-board PCB antenna, so as long as you use a 50R 2.4GHz external antenna you should be good!
