spi data transfer delay in nrf51822

I,m using nrf51822 , Softdevice S110 and SDK V10. i have and spi interface with SST26VF064B (8MB flash) . SPI is running at 4MHz frequency and there is 8us delay between each byte of data. It will reduce my spi throughput badly.

1 .How can able to reduce these delay  ?

2. Is there any other spi driver for this ?

Any particular reason for such an old version?

You've already seen that there was a bug in old versions: devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../199489

You can use v12.3.0 with nRF51 ...
