What is the LTE antenna trace width used on the nRF9160 version 0.85?

Hi,

I'm in the process of designing my first prototype with the nRF9160 SiP. For the LTE antenna sub-circuit, I simply want to replicate (as much as possible) Nordic's reference design for the nRF9160 DK v0.85.

My question is therefore the following. What trace width was used for the LTE transmission line on the nRF9160 DK v0.85? It looks like it could be ~10mil (i.e. 0.25mm), but I'm not able to find a confirmation for this in the documentation.

Thank you very much for your time and support. Slight smile

  • Hi Frank,

the trace width on the DK is based on the substrate and distance to ground, and it's a 50 Ohm transmission line. The width of the track is 0.2 mm, but you have to choose your width of the track based on your pcb and design.

If you want me to do a review of your design as well, you can upload the schematic and layout.

    Best regards,
