BLE channels and power specifications in different regions

Hello,

 

I am using nRF52832, SDK_15.3.0, S132 SoftDevice and Segger for flashing the image. I am using ‘ble_app_blinky’.

 

Similar to WiFi and 802.15.4 where there are different channels and power specifications in different regions (EMEA, USA etc…) are there any difference in BLE channels and Power levels across regions. If any difference, please let me know the difference.

Hello,

BLE channels are equal all over the world, and all channels are used everywhere (except for application specific channel mapping). So the answer to your question is no.

The output power will affect the current consumption. You can find typical current consumption numbers on different output powers in this table. Was that your question, or did I misunderstand?

Sorry, I am asking about Certification. Is there any difference with respect to Power level in different regions.

 Yes. I thought you talked about the current consumption on different output power levels. My bad.

No. The output power limitations is the same for all regions in BLE. If a device is BLE certified that covers all regions of the world.
